Kristi Sanders is the creative force behind Kootenay Glow Tallow Co Ltd., a beloved local brand known for its hand crafted, pure tallow skincare products. Rooted in the peaceful beauty of Nakusp, BC Kristi pours her passion for simplicity, wellness and high-quality ingredients into every product she creates. Her work reflects both her creativity and her deep connection to the Kootenays.
Kristi is a devoted single mom building a beautiful life with her teenage daughter on their serene acreage where the days are shared with a big loveable dog, a sweet cat, a small flock of the happiest chickens around and frequent visits from an astounding array of wildlife. Their little homestead is full of warmth, movement and the easy rhythm of rural living, creating a life that feels both joyful and abundant.
Keeping It Simple
I believe natural products don't need to be complicated.
Our products begin with locally sourced, hand rendered beef suet. Once beefy odor is removed using our unique, natural process, then any essential oils are added. Finally, it's then whipped to create the smooth, silky texture that makes it so enjoyable to use topically.
For our scented varieties, I add only natural essential oils. That's it. No long ingredient lists. No unnecessary fillers. No complicated blends designed for different uses. Suitable for use from head to toe, on any skin type.
Just pure tallow, with a few carefully chosen scents for those who enjoy them.

Why Tallow?
Tallow is one of those wonderfully simple ingredients that has stood the test of time. Made from rendered beef fat, tallow has traditionally been used for everything from cooking to skincare. When properly rendered and purified, it creates a rich, nourishing product that many people love using on their skin.
